Efficacy and Safety Evaluation
TOA offers a variety of efficacy evaluation tests and safety
evaluation tests that can objectively measure the effects on the skin.
Efficacy Evaluation
We conduct various evaluation tests on not only raw materials but also cosmetic products at the cellular and human levels. For human evaluation tests, we have constant-temperature and constant-humidity rooms at Skin Research Center and Yokohama Laboratory respectively in order to provide a suitable environment for measurements. We propose an appropriate test method according to your request.

Safety Evaluation
We have introduced non-animal safety tests to evaluate the safety of raw materials and cosmetic products. We’re capable of performing a variety of testing methods including methods according to internationally-recognized OECD guidelines, our own in-house standards as well as testing arrangements to verify the safety for sensitive skin.
